Limericks

Wrote this one for my German class. It was written just for heck of it. But at the end in a competition where we were allowed to recite English poems, I backed out.

1.

There once was a girl who weighed many an ounce
Whose name I can never pronounce
One day a fellow unmankind
Pulled her chain from behind
Just to see her bounce!!!

2.

There once was a man from Perth
Who was born on the day of his birth.
He was married they say,
On his wife's wedding day.
And died when he quit this very earth

3.

There once was a bear in a zoo
Who could always find something to do.
When it bored him you know
He would walk to and fro
Then he would reverse it, n walked for and to....

4.

One day I went to the Zoo.
Just to see the old Gnu.
But the old gnu was dead
And the new Gnu, they said
Certainly knew as a gnu he was new, phew!!!
